Abstract
More than 200 therapeutic options or their combinations are being investigated in more than 1,700 clinical trials. In this review, we have examined 40 therapeutic options. The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is continually monitoring ongoing research on any possible therapeutic options. As evidence emerges, then PAHO will immediately assess and update its position, and particularly as it applies to any special sub-group populations such as children, expectant mothers, those with immune conditions, etc.
