Citation: Della Gatta AN, Rizzo R, Pilu G, Simonazzi G. Coronavirus 19 during pregnancy: a systematic review of reported cases. American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. 2020 Jul;223(1):36-41. What is this? Understanding the clinical features of COVID-19 infection during pregnancy might help policy makers involved in clinical practice and service planning. In this rapid review, the authors searched for articles on clinical outcomes for pregnant women who had been diagnosed with COVID-19. They did not restrict their searches by language of publication and completed the search on 16 March 2020. They included 6 retrospective studies which were all from China. The studies included a total of 51 pregnant women, with 3 pregnancies ongoing and 1 stillbirth and 1 neonatal death among the other 48 women. What was found: At the time of this review, the included studies showed that COVID-19 infection had similar clinical presentation and outcomes for pregnant and non-pregnant women. At the time of this review, the included studies found that 46 of 48 women who were not still pregnant gave birth by cesarean delivery and 2 gave birth vaginally.en_US
